1. Teens should keep them moving and should walk to market place etc at home. They should walk to school if the school or college not far away from the house. This will reduce their weight and keep them in shape.

2. Teens are very fond of fast food which is the prime reason of their gaining weights in these days. They should avoid eating fast food which is higher in calories and lower in nutritional values. Fast food increases the toxins in our body and in a growing body it is not good for development of bones and strengthening of muscles.

3. Take part in school activities. Being active is key to quick lose weight. A teens' body is full of energy and they don't get tire with such activities. This helps you in maintaining a proper shape and will keep you from lethargic.

4. Control your sweet tooth. Teens are very fond of sweets. Sweets have high calorie contents and make you put on weight. Therefore avoid eating sweets and even chocolates. Instead of sweets use seasonal fruits for satisfying your sweet tooth.

5. Do regular exercise at home. Regular exercise will keep you from gaining weight and if you already have put on weight this will help you burn that. Regular exercise also keeps you active and fit.

6. Make a food diary and what ever you eat in the whole day and also calculate the calories contents in those items. Then replace the high calorie food with the low calorie ones.

7. Teens are less alert about roughage which is a vital part of our food. Take adequate amount of roughage by means of salads and fruits. Roughage has fewer calories and cleans the intestines thereby removes the toxins and help to improve metabolism.

8. Change your eating habits. Take 4-5 small meals instead of 2-3 large one.

9. Do not take any sort of weight reducing medicines. Those have side effects on the growing bodies. You should chose a natural method like exercise and dieting.

10. Take adequate amount of water that is necessary for any age group people during their weight reducing program. Water is very helpful in weight reduction. It improves your metabolism and keeps your hunger under control.

11. Reduce the fat consumption in your meals. Teens like to eat fried foods and this can spoil their weight reduction program.
