In hospitalist jobs, you need to provide services to the patients who are admitted in the hospital. The job is very much like a primary care physician. Here you are getting the same training as a primary care physician. There can be different positions of a hospitalist job inside the same hospital. Once a patient is admitted in a hospital, he/she is assigned with a hospitalist. The same person or hospitalist will be responsible for the patient during the whole stay. He will have to provide all the necessary treatments and care required, he should make coordination among the specialists etc.

Whether in case of family practice jobs, you will have to provide your services in a local community. To get success in this job, you need to build up a really good relationship with the local people. Family practitioners are generally involved with a particular family for many years. They provide all the primary medications and care to the family and refer them to a specialist whenever required. To become a family practitioner, along with the medical degree, you also need to get a license to practice in the particular state. Initially, you may need to have some patience in a family practice job. But once you build up a good list of your clients, you have a really good future with the job. Your earnings as a family practitioner will depend on the locality you are working and also the hours that you are providing to your work.
