We all know that bedbugs are blood sucking creatures and are found in large numbers across the globe

. It has been documented that bedbugs would become dormant and would survive for months without feeding. However, if the host is readily available, they would feed every 5-10 days. The feeding time would last for about five minutes. However, at the time of sucking the blood, these creatures would inject some kind of anaesthetics. Hence the victim would not realise until the itching starts.

Leptocimex boueti are other kinds of bedbugs and would attack human beings as well as bats. They are mostly found in West Africa. Although the numbers of infestations have reduced in the recent times, it is an overwhelming task to eliminate these creatures. In the last few years, these bedbugs have become resistant to pesticides or other kinds of chemical treatments. In order to deal with the bedbug infestation, you must identify the signs of their presence. Look out for little bumps or welts on the surface of your skin. Ensure that your furniture or rooms are free from smaller cracks or crevices.

Bedbugs are usually reddish-brown in colour and about inch long in size. If you have furnishings made out of textiles, ensure that you treat them with bedbug sprays or heat treatments on a regular basis. There are several different ways to eliminate these bedbugs, which include chemical treatments, professional pest control services or home treatments. In accordance to your convenience, you can choose to use any of them, but it is imperative to eliminate these bugs as soon as they are spotted.
