Different Styles Of Belts To Go With Different Styles Of Clothing
Choosing the right style of different clothes to make a complete outfit can be a
difficult task; making sure all the colours match, finding accessories, whether a loose fit top goes well with a particular style of dress, whether one colour really goes well with another colour etc it can be quite a daunting task to find all of the pieces of just one outfit that you will be wearing for only a few hours before it is thrown into the washing basket.
Choosing the right belt to go with your outfit is a crucial step towards completing your look. You want to make sure that you spend a good amount of time looking at all of your options and considering what will go with which outfit.
For instance, to add extra detail to an outfit which is fairly simple, a thick belt with a large buckle that stands out may be just the ticket, as this draws attention away from the simplicity of the rest of the outfit, it can be good to use if you cant decide on an outfit which makes much of an impact, however; if youre wearing something which stands out and is something you want to show off, you may want to stick to a skinny belt, as these will add a little extra detail but wont draw too much attention away from the rest of your outfit.
Make sure also that depending on how you want people to look at the rest of the outfit, that you choose an appropriate coloured belt for example, if you were wearing mostly light colours and wanted attention to be focused on your outfit, dont choose a dark brown, black or blue belt, choose something to match or blend in with the rest of the outfit. If you want to draw attention to the belt, wear something that clashes with its colours, so a light/bright belt can be worn with dark clothes, and a dark belt can be worn with light clothes.
You will also want to think about the type, style and colour of the buckle you use with your belt.
Depending on the rest of your outfit, as mentioned previously you may want to opt for something that either stands out, or something that blends in. Belt buckles that can blend in easily with the rest of your outfit are items such as regular square buckles, ovals, horseshoes etc, anything without too much detail. If need something to stand out, you can opt for a larger buckle with more detailing, such as animals, flowers, snakes, crystals etc anything large and with a lot of detailing.
