Projector screens are large screens onto which moving or still images are generally projected

. The device consists essentially of a support structure and a screen. It is used for displaying enlarged images to a wide audience. These kinds of screens are used widely in conference rooms and movie halls. The screens are generally seen in cinema halls on a permanent basis. Furthermore, the screens adorning conference rooms are mobile or semi permanent. These screens vary widely in terms of shape and size. Projector screens, therefore, may come with flat screened or curved shapes. Straight or curved varieties are used depending on several factors like the required geometrical accuracy, optics used during projection and viewing angles. They may either be erected vertically or simply hung from the walls. These curved varieties are seen widely in movie theatres.

So, the question is how does the surface look? The surfaces of the image displaying device is generally off-white or pure white in color. This helps prevents discolorations. The brightness depends on a number of factors like the ambient light level and the images luminous power.

There is hardly any dearth of projector screens in the market today. The two major varieties include Front projector screen and rear projector screen. The first of these two, the front projector is probably the most commonly used variety today. These devices are manufactured using vinyl and come in two major shades-white or grey. They are known to have opaque surfaces. This is the reason why light can never pass through their surfaces. These high end devices are excellent choices when it comes to displaying moving and still images.

Rear projection screens are climbing popularity charts at fast pace. Unlike their counterpart described above, these screens are manufactured using materials that allow light rays to pass through. In terms of color, they would usually offer two choices- light grey or black. In this variety of projecting equipment, the main device is placed right behind the screen. For clarity in terms of picture quality, these devices should be used in night. They are good for both indoor as well as outdoor projections.
