Welding process plays a very important role in the manufacturing activities such

as construction of building, bridges, ship building, automobile, aerospace, power plants, refineries and many more. So welding systems are the backbone of the manufacturing industry and to meet the daily manufacturing activities proper technology is required. Welding is nothing but a fabrication process that joins metals, materials and thermo plastics. If we consider the history of welding forge were the only processes introduced but later many new welding technologies and processes started to evolve.

In the 20th century the manufacturing industry came to know about the importance of wielding services and there after the requirements for supplies increased a lot. In order to cope up with the heavy requirement welding industry started to develop and implement the latest tools, products, accessories and welding equipment supplies that are designed according to the latest technology.

Basically welding techniques are classified into two methods and they are based on the consumables such as consumable and non consumable electrode methods. Techniques that come under the consumable electrode methods are shielded metal, gas metal arc welding, flux-cored arc welding and submerged arc. Non consumable electrode methods are gas tungsten, plasma arc, atomic hydrogen, electro slag welding and stud arc.

Tig uses tungsten electrode and consumable techniques use electrode rod or stick for its process. There are industries that use different machines for different welding techniques. There are some other products also available such as spot welders, multi process units, wire feeders, apart from the products such as mig, tig, stick and submerged arc products.

Plasma is the new category that comes under the cutting products. There are a variety of welder machines are available in the market such as tig welder, on board welder, reconditioned welder, mig welder, aluminum welder, steel welder and metal welder. Fumes are the most dangerous thing that is generated while welding procedure is done.

But before you start welding you need to consider the safety parameters. There is a grisly array of health hazards and safety risks that await the careless and feckless welders. There is some basic protective clothing that is required to be taken care before you start your welding process. So the weldor should be protected with welding gears such as helmets, masks, gloves and with proper accessories. Welding guns and torches are important to weldor and the weldor should have proper control over it.

Welding cart is also essential for welding supplies. The most important element of a welding cart is for the proper storage of the gases such as oxygen that are used during the welding process.
