Many homes will have at least one computer in them these days

With music and photos stored on your computer you can even repair them such as photos that have been scratched or faded can be digitally restored as can music where many people have encoded their CD or LP collection to clean the tracks up removing those annoying pops and hisses that blight older recordings.

Another use for computers in the home can be starting your own home business, whether it is selling items through online auction websites or building your own e-commerce website all you need these days is your digital camera, a PC and an internet connection. With accountancy and spreadsheet software available you could easily run a side business or become a true entrepreneur and run a business empire from the comfort of your own home.

The computer can now be used well beyond its previously limited range of uses and with many people finding new and interesting ways to make use of the home computer on tasks as varied as editing videos to playing computer games and having a video chat with friend and family who may be living on the other side of the world.
