There are lots of variations in the trips you can take to Lapland; there are the 3 and 4 day trips, weekly trips and even day trip. Lapland holidays are expensive but given that you get to visit a place of sheer beauty and magic, not to mention the chance to meet the real Father Christmas, it is well worth it

The 3 and 4 day trips are packed full of wonderful things to see and do. When you first arrive you will travel into the heart of the Arctic Circle where you will see Santa along the way and have a chance to take in the wonderful snowy surrounding, play in the snow and see the delight on the children's faces. During your 3 and 4 day holiday, you will have the chance to try out the snowmobiles and take part in the wonderful Husky safaris which the adults and children will absolutely love. There is also time to choose an activity of your own choice and there are plenty to choose from. There are the skiing activities, including the cross country skiing, snowshoes and much more. Before you know it, it will be time to leave but not before you have the chance to sample some of the great food on offer and some of the great restaurants, not to mention playing in the snow and visiting Santa Claus for a magical meeting.

If you are looking for a longer stay in Lapland, there is the chance to stay over for a week either on an organised holiday through a tour operator or on a week's holiday that you organise yourselves. You can visit Lapland for the week during the whole of the winter period and a popular time to visit is New Years Eve. Staying in Lapland for the week over the New Year will involve arriving a couple of days before New Year and really getting into the Christmas spirit. There will be lots more time to experience more activities and some great trips may involve travelling to the famous Ice Hotel. New Years Eve will be spent doing lots of activities before seeing Santa Claus. After a fun packed day, you will be treated to a wonderful meal, a glass of champagne and the most fantastic firework display you have ever seen and if you are lucky you may even see the Northern lights.
