There are times when our body has a hard time with digestion. This food becomes rotten and is what causes gas and flatulence. Farting is normal to a point as extra air is released, but if there is an excessive amount of flatulence, it can indicate a problem.

Fitness requires eating healthy and changing some of the things we eat. Chewing food properly is important and it can break down food for easier digestion. Saliva is produced when we chew and helps in the digestion process. Swallowing food in large chinks can slow digestion down causing problems down the road.

A great way to begin eating healthy is to eat smaller meals a few times throughout the day rather than three larger meals. Smaller meals lead to digestion regulating. You should also begin taking a daily vitamin supplement to make things run smoother.


Another part of your daily lifestyle is to try to drink about 6-8 glasses of water. Water is a great way to cleanse the body of toxins and can help reduce constipation.

When we cook, there are many needed nutrients in food that are lost. Boiled food is a good option to go with and steamed food is even more beneficial. There are also digestive enzymes that you can add to any food you eat and include high fiber, whole grains, green leafy vegetables, dried fruits and brown breads. These foods help to absorb any fat that may end up sticking to your intestines and can help to flush it out. This is a great way of detoxifying.

The whole digestion process doesn't happen overnight and will take some time. You should leave a 5 hour gap on average between each meal you eat, and also make sure you stay sitting up after you eat. Foods including meats and poultry are a little more difficult to digest.

Vegetarians have an easier time with digestion. Sugar and pepper however make it hard. Having too much pepper, tea or coffee can act as irritants that can hamper digestion.

Eating healthy includes a healthy diet plan that excludes foods that are processed, canned and tinned. The artificial flavors and colors in these foods can be harmful to the body. There is a great deal of fat in processed foods and all of these harmful things can in turn stick to our intestines.
