Dining In Vegas - Check Your Hotel Out First

There are so many places to eat in Las Vegas; it can be overwhelming just thinking of the possible choices

. No matter what you want to eat, the chances are really good you can find something at any time of the day. What most people fail to realize is that they don't always have to go out to eat when visiting Las Vegas. Most hotels have restaurants inside of them, and many of them are buffet-style, which means you can eat all you want. It's in the visitor's best interest to explore what's right in front of them before going out.

Hotels don't want guests to leave the building for anything; this is why they have casinos and plenty of restaurants. Some hotels carry more than 10. The MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay each have 16. Along with the quantity comes the variety - steakhouses, American-style, Chinese, seafood, Cajun...the list goes on and on, and that's not including the venerable Vegas buffets. With that kind of variety, guests don't have to travel far to find a good place to eat. In fact, if they gamble enough in the casinos, they might be able to eat for free.

The price ranges vary, and they largely depend on the type of food served or the name attached to it. Expect to pay a bit more if the place is fronted by a world-renowned chef or specializes in seafood. Italian restaurants tend to be mid-priced. Steakhouses, French, and Japanese restaurants also cost a bit more. If you're strapped for cash, try an American-style restaurant. Of course, American-style restaurants have the same type of food you've probably eaten at restaurants in your neighborhood; the only difference is many of these restaurants are open 24 hours a day, so you'll be able to get your favorite food whenever you feel like it.

For the extremely budget conscious, the buffet is always a safe choice. An inexpensive, wide array of food offering round-the-clock access is very attractive. Furthermore, the hotels love handing out free buffets for those who gamble at the casino. You really can't go wrong by choosing a buffet, since there's a little something for everyone to enjoy. Depending on the size of your appetite and the size of your wallet, there is always somewhere to eat in Las Vegas. So, when you're there, figure out what you're in the mood for and start eating.
