? Sure but that probably would have taken some of the mystique away from it as well.

To back up, we need to point out that the affiliate model of doing business has become a TREMENDOUS way to sell on the internet.

Ask Amazon.

The concept of a company enabling hundreds of thousands of us to take out own time and money to make profits off of their goods is a great concept.

The problem is, and it is a largely unspoken one, is that typically the heavy hitters come in and are instantly able to turn on every internet marketing tool and system in the book to the point where they suck dry the demand BEFORE they release the affiliate programs to the rest of us.

Unfair!

And also while many of us tend to find ourselves joining program after program AFTER it has run its course, along comes one that is just beginning and relies on the powerful PUSH of great content...as opposed to all the bells and whistles displayed by the big boys!

How refreshing. Referral marketing done on a referral basis. A purpose driven opportunity.

I for one and smitten beyond belief with the philosophy of the affiliate based program and affiliate marketing in general. To me it combines the best of MANY worlds. And it clearly empowers the small salesman by handing or her tools that can be used for tremendous profits.

Now, take all of that and combine it with a Social Networking product that is all about great content...and that's where the term direct interconnect came from.
