Most merchants prefer to send postcards in a direct mail campaign. Well, practically speaking, it's cheaper. It's cheaper to design and print. Postage payment is also cheaper with postcards than sending a regular mail. So, you can send hundreds of them to your target audience without breaking your budget.
Another thing, postcards if properly designed, has this ability to capture people's attention. Try to put some very vibrant and colorful images on the postcard to catch your target audience' attention and really read your post. If the postcard is not that interesting, usually people just give it a glance. The big challenge now is how you can entice your readers to make that single glance into a much longer stare!
In what situations would you use direct mailing? Well, in any kind of business you're having, direct mailing is beneficial. This is because you can easily target specific group of people, not like the other forms of advertising. If you are a small or medium-sized business, it's also best for you since its way cheaper than advertising on TV, radio, or in prints. So, you can run a
direct mail campaign for a long time without really making a big hole in your pocket.
Direct Mail Marketing has a reason why it has existed up until now. Businesses, big or small, have used it to their advantage. I guess it's about time that you'll also try it and have a first hand experience of all its benefits.
