What is good? What is Evil? Why should there be good and evil?
In the scriptures good and evil are two levers swaying your life in one direct or the other. You cannot simply release yourself from these two tendencies. If you decide to go one way, the other tendency catches up with you and you become your own judge who must decide between the two and which way to go.
We all exercise the sense of either and both at one and the same time. No one is free from these tendencies. No one is only an angel, or only a devil. In order to have the same equal pressure of both in your life you must have the same measures of both in your personality make up.
You are always made to be the judge between the two. If you examine history and what chiefs of states and leaders of societies have done then there is more evil than good. Gandhi is but an exception, with some tendency for glory and self-deification disguised under artificial humbleness and show off of self-denial.
But mad megalomaniacs like Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Paul Pot and even the cockroach Bin Ladden, are everywhere in every society. They die and give birth to more of these scums who dominate the world with their psychopathological complexes.
Look at Bin Ali, or Kaddhafi or even near your home town the Zulu chief of the White House, or the French Lilliputian megalomaniac, not forgetting Putin and Jintao to the pleasure of the Gogs and Magogs. They all have the same thing in common, the devil resides in their souls and minds and hearts, especially their bodies incarnation of the Devil himself.
Their criterion of good and evil is so swayed in favor evil that they have completely lost their equilibrium and behave in favor of evil. By simply manipulating power and dominating others, where their people or other peoples is evidence of such a psychopath evil tendency.
Normal human beings, with equilibrium of personality, stable character and balance of mind, never aspire to dominate others, individuals or people. They abstain from power, control, dominance and they seek an equilibrated life. They are not after fame like most misbalanced megalomaniac cinema actors and actresses. They never seek glory like Napoleon, Mao, Julius Caesar and the crooked crazy Pharaohs and kings, of ancient times and of present times.
It is when a mad man is on the loose then he or she looks for dominance to cover up for his or her inferiority complexes, and the examples are in the tons.
Look around and see for yourself!
What is interesting for all these tendencies is that they have one finality completing the mission of its directionality namely to display one's attitudes before God. God is the finality of these human tendencies. He is the one who takes record. He is the one who is the final judge. He is the one who pronounces sentences.
Thus, a day of reckoning is a finality for human good and evil, with all the consequences there from.
