Disabled Individuals And Those With Pre-existing Conditions Will Be Getting A Break In 2014

Much has been in the press about the Affordable Care Act and in the public forum

as well and one of the greatest benefits the future of this plan holds is the promise to ill Americans that they will be able to receive the health care they need at a reasonable cost. These changes are just beginning in 2010 and 2011 and will take some time to get off the ground.

One of the first things that will affect people will be the inclusion of adult children on their parents coverage. That means that people will be insured on their parents plan until they are 26 years old no matter what issues they may have. This is just the beginning of what will be coming along. The best part of these changes is that people will have the hope again that they will have insurance that they can actually afford.

There is a plan and there is hope that all will be completed by 2014. Once all has been set in motion there will be a big change for people that have had great issues with insurance coverage. It is particularly tough for people that have disabilities and that have pre-existing conditions to get affordable health insurance. Once the plan is finished being implemented there will be no more denying people because of these conditions.

Until that is put into place though these people will be dealing with the same health insurance issues that they always have been. The one change might help them if they are still within the age limit to be under parental coverage. If not then applying for Medicaid is an option. If the qualifications for Medicaid are not met then the only option left is pricey high risk health insurance coverage.

There are changes that are on their way though. It will take a few years for it all to finish but eventually there will be affordable health insurance for these people. It is important to look on the bright side and to understand that change is coming. It will not come soon enough to please many people, but it is without a doubt right on it's way.
