Something to keep in mind is that sometimes you have to buy more than one jacket. After all, when it's fall it's too warm to wear your big winter jacket, and on that same note, in the winter it's too cold to wear your fall jacket. So right there, you will need two different jackets to wear.

Discount jackets can be made with anything from wool to cotton. Wool is more what you would want to wear in the winter time. These kinds of discount jackets are going to hold your body heat in more, keeping you warmer. The cotton jackets are going to let more air pass through them. Although they are going to keep you warm, they are not going to keep you as warm as the wool jackets. Thus, they are better to use in the fall.

Spending all your money on jackets that are full price just is not a good idea. You can usually get the same quality jacket at a discounted price. The main thing to remember here is that jackets go in and out of fashion, but saving money is always in style! So go out there and look for discount jackets; you will be happy you did. Then you can take the money you saved on your jacket and put it to better use. After all, there is no reason to ever spend all your money on jackets.
