In this economy many people are cancelling their pricey gym memberships and buying a home treadmill instead to get fit. No doubt you want to get a discount on your treadmill.
The great news is that you can get one - provided you know where to look for it.
The first thing to know is that not all "deals" are really actual deals. You need to know what you're looking for before you buy.
The best thing to do is decide on what you want before you go looking for discounts or deals. For example do you want the heavy duty construction of a Sole? Do you want the cool fitness tracking toys you can find on a Nordic Track? How about a Bowflex with that sleek ergonomic design?
There's no point looking for discounts on a treadmill brand you haven't researched or don't know much about. Then you're not really sure what you're getting. You may think it's a high quality machine but find out later that you really just bought a cheap treadmill with a $50 discount slapped on it.

How do you find them? I'm going to let you in on a few secrets that most buyers don't know about how to get discount treadmills:
First things first - know when to buy. Certain brands have sales at specific times. I know ofone brand that varies their prices online almost every day - but their best sales can often be found on weekend.
And many stores will offer sales at certain times of the year like in January for New Years or when the market is slow and there's an overabundance of inventory like June, July and August.
Certain other brands never change their prices. No matter where you buy them or when, the prices never change and there are no deals - ever. These tend to be more of the premium commercial grade brands.
If you're waiting to get a deal on these treadmills, you won't. But sometimes you can do other things like buying from the manufacturer online to get Free Shipping and save on sales tax. This can save you as much as $150.
Want another way to get a discount? Some treadmill brands are owned by larger parent companies. For instance, ICON health and fitness owns Image,Proform, Weslo and Reebok. Nautilus owns Bowflex and Schwinn.
Sometimes you can find a 'cheaper' brand that is almost the exact same treadmill as a more expensive brand - but the because the first brand name is known for being a more discount brand, the price is lower than the more expensive brand. And it's virtually the exact same treadmill - for a few hundred less.
Another way to get a discount is to spend time reviewing treadmills online.
For example, manufacturers give special discounts to websites like mine because we've been around so long. Manufacturers know that many buyers read our reviews before buying.
So they want to tempt these people to buy by giving them discounts. I also run a sales page where I list the best sales every day - the real sales. So people can check to see the latest discount deals in their price range.
The bottom line is that if you want discount treadmills, you can find them. But take some time, research and watch prices closely.
