Even refillable inks are compatible as far as print quality is concerned. Another version has all the colors in one unit. This system therefore only has one black and one color cartridge each.

One final consideration is whether picture quality printing will be utilized. Photo quality use is more expensive, as the toner sprays as finer droplets. Here quality is a consideration, as there are differences in print quality and how quickly the cartridge becomes empty.

The task of replacing is not difficult. Current software applications that come with the printer notify the user when toner needs to be replaced, as well as which colors need to be changed.
