Disney Aulani Resort In Hawaii Offers Magical Destination Weddings
Disney is famous for its magical films such as Cinderella
, Snow White, Pinocchio and The Lion King as well as for their world famous family-friendly amusement parks in the United States, Hong Kong and Paris, but now the global brand is now also offering weddings on a tropical island in Hawaii.
Disney has, for the first time ever opened a hotel that is not situated within a theme park complex and it will be focusing on providing magical weddings abroad for couples.
The new Disney Aulani Resort on the island of Oahu in Hawaii is set to become a popular venue for destination weddings, honeymoons and romantic escapes.
For the past 20 years, couples have been able to enjoy fairytale weddings at Walt Disney World in Florida, Disneyland in California, Disneyworld in Hong Kong and aboard Disney Cruise liners, but they can now add Hawaii to the list of Disney destinations for exotic ceremonies.
The first Aulani weddings are scheduled to take place this month and couples from all over the world have already started enquiring about booking their weddings abroad at the luxury resort.
Disney Fairy Tale Weddings and Destinations Marketing Director Korri McFann said, We are pleasantly surprised to see the diversity of interest in Aulani weddings.
Wedding ceremonies at the Disney hotel start from $4,000 and include an oceanfront lawn with decorated Hawaiian arch, bouquet or lei and boutonniere or lei for the bride and groom, a solo musician for one hour, an officiant, a professional photographer for two hours, an onsite wedding coordinator, and white folding chairs for guests. Additional reception packages are also available.
Couples who have already tied the knot can visit the luxury resort for romantic honeymoons.
McFann said: Tens of thousands of couples honeymoon with [Disney] every year and according to The Knot approximately 170,000 U.S. couples honeymoon in Hawaii alone.
Disneys Hawaiian resort also offers plenty of facilities and activities for guests including the Laniwai Spa where couples can unwind with a side-by-side traditional Hawaiian massage or facial in a private suite, or relax in the 5,000 square-foot Kula Wai outdoor hydrotherapy garden which boasts a whirlpool spa, cold plunge pool, six rain showers, herbal soaking tubs and fragrant Hawaiian flowers.
During their stay, couples can dine in the gourmet AmaAma restaurant or head to the Olelo Room for a tropical cocktail before relaxing in luxury rooms and suites that feature stylish furnishings, private porches or balconies and modern amenities including flat screen TVs, DVD players, mini-fridges, ceiling fans, wireless Internet, and deep soaking tubs.
