Distance Learning: Can It Be Equal To Full-time Study?

Distance learning is a part of modern peoples lives

. More and more online students obtain the necessary knowledge and degrees. However, some people are still against the very existence of such kind of study. They argue that online students simply cannot obtain equal amount of knowledge, so their qualifications is poor. Some regret that online study prevents students from college life with its experiences in social life which can be helpful in their future. However, is it so? Of course, not! Distance learning is just another way of obtaining the same knowledge.

1.Equal qualification. Online students study the same course as their full-time counterparts. They get access to the same resources. Thus, online students obtain the same amount of information as the rest of students and gain the necessary skills to become real experts in the field they studied.

2.Equal degrees. It is a myth that online students degrees hide their poor knowledge. Any degree is supported by academic achievements of the student. If the student fails to prove that he/she deserves the degree, he/she simply does not get it.

3.Social life. Online students are also involved in the college life. They have their tutors, fellow students, they may participate student unions and extracurricular activities.

4.Commitment. Online students often have to work during their study. Thus, they are more committed to the study, they are more serious and do not waste their time. Such people do know what they need and how to achieve their goals. Many online students show better results than even other college students.

5.Study and experience. It is also very often when online students use their new knowledge in practice. Moreover, they can report to their fellow students and teachers what really works in practice and what should be improved. Thus, they do not only learn, they teach as well. They share their practical experience with the rest of the college.
