Diwali Celebrations In Alleppey

Alappuzha is most famous tourist spot in Kerala

. The backwaters, canals and lagoons are the some of the famous tourist attractions in our Alleppey. Ive been very lucky that my ancestors are from this place. Since Im used to these natural surroundings I dont feel super excited when I see them after some gap. But my friends and other tourists who visit here are stunned by the picturesque nature. They come again and again from their place just to witness the beauty of Alappuzha. I stay in Bangalore but I often visit this place for Diwali celebrations. Every year I and my cousins have a get together in this place and we really have a great time. Every one of us cant make it every year and last year I was the one who missed this celebration. My cousins just couldnt stop their enjoyment when they were narrating me their experience. I felt bad that I missed the party but I felt even sad that I couldnt join them.

This year again we are planning to meet up and have a grand celebration. The only problem is that our grandfather loses huge amount of money coz of us because we use one of our houseboats and so he losses out in making money by renting the same to tourists. Though our grandmother takes care of this and let us utilize anything and everything we request. This year we were planning to bring our girlfriends too but we were sure that none of our parents will agree to this. So we decided to introduce our girlfriends as our cousin Neetas college friends. Since she is younger to us we had to bribe her with new cloths and many other things. It was only then she agreed to do these things for us. It really took us one month of planning and we have to make sure that our girlfriends know each other well. Two of my cousins staying Mumbai, already met each other and they are planning to meet Neeta very soon. My girlfriend being in Bangalore had conversations with Neeta and other girls. Last one week was seriously very hectic as we planned a common spot for all girls to meet up before they come down to Alleppey. We are sure that we would have a wonderful Diwali 2012 celebration in Alleppey with each other. Also to get the houseboats exclusively for us again is the responsibility of our young and sweet cousin Neeta. We are now just waiting for our vacation and Im also worried about the girls as they would be coming after we reach. Since its their first visit to Alleppey and many of them as to wait for others, I would be the one who will be managing their travel. My plan is to invite everyone to my place and book a bus to Alleppey and the reason Im writing this post is because I was too dam frustrated and needed some time off.
