1. Starting with clean and dry hair, clip your locks up leaving a horizontal parting about 1.5 inches above the nape of your neck. Then, use a comb to untangle and prepare the layer of hair left at the nape which will serve as a secure bed for the first hair extension.

2. Place the first extension in by clipping the teeth as close to the scalp and as tightly as possible to the bed of hair you just combed.

3. Section off another 1.5 inched layer above the first parting and comb it to create another bed for the second hair extension. The amount of sections you use depends on the thickness of your hair and how you want the final result to look.

4. Keep sectioning and clipping until youre done. Then blend your natural hair with the extensions by gently combing the crown of your head and using your fingers to mix it up a bit. Remember not to comb through your new hair if its curl or wavy otherwise theyll lose their shape. Also avoid spraying any silicon based hair products or youll risk the clips slipping out.

If you use any hair products then make sure to wash your extensions well afterwards and dont sleep with them on to avoid tangled and matted hair. You might also want to brush them before each use and keep heat styling to a minimum to prevent damaging your extensions. Clip in hair extensions dont need too much maintenance but gentle handling will certainly extend its usable life span.
