Do Artificial Sweeteners Had An Impact On Our Ability To Burn Fat
When people decide to cut calories to lose weight the first thing they turn to is low calories or sugar-free foods and drinks
. Those sugar-free drinks and foods usually have some sort of artificial sweetener in them to sweeten them up without the added sugar. But many are wondering: Do artificial sweeteners had an impact on our ability to burn fat?
Artificial sweeteners are natural or chemicals compounds that basically replace the sugar by adding sweetness without the extra calories. But studies are showing that people are getting bigger because of that. These are causing people to gain weight because the body is actually storing more fat and the cravings for sugar are increasing.
People are wondering just how this is possible; they are using something that is supposed to help not hurt. In fact, manufactured sweeteners may be interfering with the body's capability to naturally count the calories based on the sweetness of the food consumed. It may actually be telling the body that a doughnut has the same amount of calories as a sugar free soda. This then in turn causes people to overindulge in the sweet tasting foods and drinks.
Food companies are manipulating more than the sweetness of food and beverages today. In order to compensate for the lack of real sugar in something, they need to increase the fat or salt for the taste. A good example of this is sugar free ice cream. What it lacks in calories is made up for in fat so that it still tastes good.
It boils down to sacrificing calories ends up meaning more fat. And, since you are adding more fat to your body, you are slowing down your body's ability to burn the fat. The more you eat and drink food with artificial sweeteners added, the more you may be sabotaging your own efforts to shed those extra pounds.
Do artificial sweeteners had an impact on our ability to burn fat is a question that is still being looked into. Although with studies and research being done, most will say that yes it does. Tricking the body seems to be working against many and in fact increasing their desire for sweets. Food and drinks with an artificial sweetener in them don't have to be avoided, they just cannot be substituted for the right foods to burn fat and lose weight.
