Do I Need An Account To Ship With A Company?

In most cases, business that require the need of a company to transport goods and

packages for them have an account set up with the transportation company of their choosing. For example, a company doing business in Houston would create an account with a Houston courier service before using them to make deliveries for them. This way, whenever that company needs a package to be delivered; they can easily place their order and the driver of the Houston courier service will come by and pick up and deliver the package for them. This is the easiest way to conduct business as the billing is already set up with the company and it saves both time and money for the company requesting the shipping and the courier service doing the delivering. Companies that create an account can generally have their orders automatically processed through specialized dispatch software system, which also makes the process from delivery request to final deliver smooth and seamless.

On the other hand, a business may not need the delivery services of a major Houston trucking company more than once a year. Then the whole process of setting up an account and having to update the information each year anyway, becomes more trouble than it is worth. In this case, it may be best to find a Trucking Houston company that can complete the delivery; then offer an upfront billing and payment system and skip setting up an account.

Also a business may not want to set up an account right away, because they wish to try out a Houston courier before committing to any sort of other business transactions with them. When people or businesses agree to open an account with a company, they often feel pressure that they now have to use that service. They also feel that they really don't want to go to the trouble of setting up another account with another courier service, so they call the one that they already have the account with (even if they don't want to). For those that are not familiar with the services offered by a particular courier service, ask if you can do your first delivery without setting up an account. Then you can see if they meet your expectations and if you want to use them again in the future. If you are happy with their work, then you can feel more comfortable in setting up an account with them.
