So do they or don't they? The heart wrenching question that always gets asked at the end of a relationship. Does your ex boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife, lover or other want you back? Just to keep the word count down we will just refer to them as the EX!
Now it seems to me one of the first things you might want to know before you invest a whole lot of time in trying to get back with your ex is, "Do they want you back?"
Maybe a better question is, "Do you want THEM back?"
So what might be some clues that your ex might be even remotely considering this?
Well at least your ex is talking to you again so that's always a good sign. Maybe they're coming around more hanging out with you, like your company, being flirtatious. Your ex is more open to you again showing signs they may let you get close to them again.
But that doesn't necessarily mean they want you back either. A lot of times this is like a ghost feeling or emotion of what you had together in the past. It's only natural for two people who have been in a relationship to experience a sense of yearning to be with each other again after being apart for awhile. But here in lies a problem!
How do you really know if your ex wants you back? How do you know they aren't just playing you?
Your ex maybe messing with your head to see if they still have any effect on you when they have no intention of getting back together with you. Just a head game. And honestly if you know your being played then do yourself a favor and send them on their way. Don't prolong the agony... it may kill you inside to do so but you don't need to be with someone who plays head game's with you. That's not a healthy environment in any relationship period.
So the questions still is "How do you know!" The answer is "Slow and Steady."
Don't go racing back to your ex just because they seem a little interested. You need to know if they are serious about wanting you back. Show them that you're in no big hurry to get back together with them... even if deep inside it's EXACTLY what you want to happen right now! Let them come to you. Let them show you with out any reservations they want to be with you again.
How do you make this happen you might be asking? Show them that you have grown during your time apart with them. And what I mean by grown is that you can go on with your life with or without them. Show your ex this is my life and I'm in control of it! This is who I am and if you can't love me for who I am then it's not meant to be.
Then when your ex start's asking you this question... "Do you have a place in your life for me?"
Then you will have your answer to..."Do they want you back!"
That only leaves this other question..."Do you want them back?"
