Today in our world there are thousands of products on the market that claim they are essential if you want to lose weight and keep it off

. But is this the truth? Certainly we don't need every product out there to accomplish our goals.

Most supplements are made by businesses whose real goal is to make money, not help consumers. It's a sad fact, but it's true. So in an effort to bring in more money, they come out with more and more new products that people really don't NEED, then use marketing to try to create a need.

Before you ever buy another supplement ask yourself this question. Does my body NEED this to stay healthy, or did I just assume it does because of some slick marketing? Obviously if your answer is the latter, then you need to go back to the drawing board and do some research.

Our bodies are amazingly designed, and truthfully we don't require much supplementation of any kind. If you are eating healthy foods, then your body will automatically extract all the vitamins and minerals that you need to stay healthy from your food.

The problem is that so much of our food is processed today that it's hard to get food that is healthy for you, let alone eat it ALL the time. So it can be helpful to take a few supplements like multi-vitamins and omega 3's to be sure you're body is getting what it needs. Just do some research before you buy these, because some vitamins are hard for your body to break down and won't do you much good.
