The truth is that you can lose weight while only being "mediocre" with your diet and exercise plan. If you know what you're doing, then setting a few goals and working on them slowly will get you where you want to be.

If you are always trying to do things perfectly, it can actually make it harder to lose weight. This is because you'll be stressed out when you aren't perfect, which does not help your body shed fat. Being stressed can screw up hormone levels in your body, cause cravings, and prevent yourself from getting slim.

Another reason perfection can kill your diet plan is because you may try to do everything at once. If you're eating unhealthy now, being perfect means you start today and you eat healthy the rest of your life.

But this just isn't realistic. We are creatures of habit, which means things are hard to change. Sure you may will your way through the first week of it, but after that it will get increasingly harder to stick to your perfect plan. And if you mess up, here comes the stress again!

Instead, just relax!

You don't have to be perfect right now to start seeing results. Making a small improvement in just one area can actually kick your body off to a great start. Plus it will be an easy win, which will take the stress out and make it fun!
