In 1942, super glue is discovered during the search of materials that would make clear plastic gun sights for the war. Chemical name of the super glue is cyanoacrylates. During that search, scientists came to know that there is sticky substance which sticks to almost everthing it came to contact with. Afterwards, these cyanoacrylates which is now called as super glue were badly rejected by American researchers for the only reason that it stuck to everything that came in to contact. After 9 years, these cyanoacrylates were again rediscovered by two researchers named Joyner and Harry Coover. They actually recognized the hidden potential of these cyanoacrylates. And it came in to the market for the first time in 1958.

Chemical Acetone is best to remove the super glue. Acetone is usually present in nail polish removers. So, if your fingers might accidently glue together, then put some nail polish remover on a piece of cotton and applies directly to your skin. It will disband the bond. Acetone will never harm your skin but it usually destroys your clothes because it helps in discoloration of fabrics. So, keep your clothes away while using it. And always use super glue with care in front of children.
