You might ask why they do this, and how in the world it would benefit them in any way. This is because they want to raise the overall education level of America, and this is one great way of doing that. Thus, the scholarships and grants started coming out in the millions. If you would like one, you're probably going to be able to get one.

Because you're a mom wanting to go back to college, you're more valuable to most colleges and to the American Government. You're more likely to make better grades in school, because you're there for strictly an education, instead of playing around like most college students. Thus, the colleges benefit by having you there through better grade averages. This helps their score with the state, and gets their funding increased. So, they're actually paid for paying you to go to college! That's why they do this.

So, as you can see, there are many people that would benefit, including you, from going to college. Don't use the finance as an excuse not to go - there are tons of scholarships out there just waiting for you to take advantage of them! There is a lot of money that can help you finally get ahead in your education.
