That seems to be a fairly common problem. Over eating never seems to cause any problem to us . We enjoy our food a lot, but we don't like what we see in the mirror. If we had controlled our eating habits, right from the start, there would have been no problems. But it becomes really hard to eat right in today's fast paced life.
Where do you think, all the fat in your body goes? Women it's the hips. Men seem to gain more belly fat . A lot of men have skinny legs and large beer bellies. Beer bellies aren't always due to drinking beer. It is very important for us to burn the excessive fat to control the accumulation of fat in those problem areas.
Did you know that walking for about 30 minutes at a pace of 3 miles per hour will help you to burn more fat than jogging or running the same distance in lesser time? To burn fat, taking it at a slower pace and adding more time to your walk will burn more fat. Increasing your heart rate will increase your ability to burn fat.
Taking a daily walk, increasing your heart beat, and burning that excessive fat is sure to your solve all your weight problems. You will get that desired lean trim look. But it does not necessarily happen that way. If the intake of the calories is more than you are burning during this exercise and the rest of the day, you are still going to gain weight. You need to keep a close watch on what you eat. You don't necessarily have to starve yourself. Just eating a well balanced diet should be enough. Cut out the extra deserts, you surely don't need to deprive yourself. Depriving yourself will only promote binge eating. Sometimes eating everything in site.
Forgiving yourself important too. Don't curse yourself if you miss out your exercise for a couple of days or pamper yourself with some goodies. We all need to take a break from our workouts. It does a person good to take a break from the regular day, watching what you eat. Just hopefully don't go too far off the diet. You will find that even when you allow yourself to eat whatever you want to, you won't go on a binge and eat everything. You have adjusted to keeping a watch on what you eat, and will maybe eat a thing or two that you haven't been eating, but do not over do it. You have worked too long and too hard to blow it now. If you do binge, you haven't blown it. Just start fresh again the next day. Forgive yourself and move forward.
The basic equation to having a healthier, thinner you is to burn fat with exercise, eat well balanced meals, and enjoy your life. You will find yourself happier, feeling more confident, and more full of energy ready to tackle all the hurdles in your life.
