Do large feet = Larger Brains

some good newsDo Smaller Feet Mean Smaller Brains

?

There are numerous popular sayings with regards to foot size - for example... bigger feet = bigger meat, and smaller feet = smaller brains. But, could there be any truth to the fact your small feet size has any relation to the dimensions of the human brain? Stay with me for more information.

The short answer to this question is no, small feet do not equal smaller brains. Actually, one and only thing smaller feet do have anything in common with is small shoes. It appears that the small feet and the small brain relationship is false, and is instead rooted in sexism towards women.

It's possible that this common misconception may well have stemmed from the fact that women will commonly have smaller feet than men, combined with the notion that a woman's brain often weighs around 100g less than a male brain. Even though women do commonly have a smaller brain size than men, brain size has no influence on intelligence. So, no matter whether your mind is a big as a bowling ball, that doesn't mean that you'll be any smarter than the next one.

But, there is some good news for the ladies. A current UK study has shown that women's brains contain more brain cells than the male brain. Sure, a man's brain may be bigger, but a woman's brain has more in it. These extra cells improve women's judgement, planning and memory skills.

So, it appears there's no help to having larger feet, and you will no longer brag that your big feet include big brains. The truth is, generally larger feet can often be a disadvantage in a variety of ways. It's often far easier for those with smaller feet to find small shoes as opposed to those large sizes. Bigger feet will usually look less attractive, especially on women. In reality, men will usually find smaller feet and small shoes on a woman far more attractive. And as a final point, most women's shoes look better in the more petite sizes, additionally, the designs are often more aesthetically pleasing as small shoes.
