These indistinguishable backgrounds make it easier for the couple to commune with each other and understand the source. However, decisions in the upbringing of future their upcoming generation may leave some space for differences in their thinking because of their disparities in likeness.
Less chance of divorce: Another and most advantageous side of arranged marriage. Man and woman sharing same background, views and understanding of two families offers very less chance of divorce. Incompatibility between the two is hardly found or rare and that ensure a safe and secure bond of the couple. Though arranged marriage is decided by both the parents still there is no space for force and compel. They allow their children to choose as per their likings. Extended family support has its benefits: in most of traditional families, married couples live with the parents or share same compound. Support of families are always there in the time of needs of the couple whether it physical, emotional or financial. Parents are also offered their helping hand for upbringing the children of the couple. Parents play a vital role in maintaining and leading harass free life. They hardly leave any room for argument injected by any kind crisis in couple's life. Parents surround a cover of warm love and wisdom for the couple which reduces the chances of failure in marriage.
Disadvantages of arranged marriage:
Those couples obliged to accept arrange marriage from their own wish and desire, they adopt tolerance and adjust with the situation and practice as well. But those who are forced or compelled to tie the knot with someone whom he/she do want to accept as their life partner, then it is very hard to accept the relationship. There is lack of tolerance to carry the relationship.
Unable to accept the bond of relationship: when marriages are arranged by completely wills of parents and they do not allow their children to choose as per their liking and preference, then it becomes unacceptable to acknowledge their partners. It encourages an unhappy married life. In such situation, the whole blame goes to parents for uniting an unmatched and unsuitable couple.
Love positioned in second: in arranged marriage, love always gets second priority. Social and economic status gets first priority than love in arranged marriage. People who prefer arrange marriage they consider that love bloom eventually after marriage. So, it is not necessary to feel any passionate love before marriage. Nevertheless, love is the key of relationship. A relationship grows with the budding of love and affection. Relationship dies the very moment love died. So, it is important to place love as the first priority in important affair like marriage.
Parent's involvement: Though proximity to parents offers massive helps to the couple still it also have some pitfalls. Interference of parents may kill bonding of the married couple. Some marital decision, family planning, arguments should be settled better by involvement of the couple only. When the in-laws interfere and enforce their views, this can cause stress and strain to the relation.
