Does A Connection Between Diet and Acne Really Exist?

In 1969 and 1971, two studies were published that focused on the association between diet and acne

. These studies would form the basis for the theory that acne is not caused by diet, and instead is a genetic disorder that has no cure.

Because of this research, the foundation was set for the principle of treating the symptoms of acne. The thinking is that because it's a genetic disease, treating the symptoms is the only way to control acne. These symptoms include, redness, puss, inflammation, bacteria, and greasiness. The ways to control them are by over the counters, prescription drugs, taking antibiotics, and applying creams.

However, years later it was discovered through research and clinical trials that the results that came from the 1969 and 1971 studies were seriously flawed and inaccurate.

A strong association between acne and diet has been discovered, according to recent studies. In fact, not consuming the proper diet is now considered to be one of the most common causes of acne. Hormonal regulation can be negatively affected by diet, as well as the natural order of toxic elimination. This can really irritate acne.

Diet Shapes Who You Are

Just as beach cliffs are shaped by crashing waves and canyon walls are formed by the wind, over time eating slowly but surely effects and shapes us physically and mentally, our internal system, organs, and cellular level.

To think that eating foods that contain foreign substances in them have zero impact on us or chronic conditions is simply irrational. A part of who we are, especially physically, is determined by the diet we consume.

Our bodies are impacted over time by diet, and this involves acne and skin condition. Usually what happens on the inside eventually manifests itself on the outside, so acne is what has been formed slowly by having the wrong diet over time.
