Does Living In The Public Eye Add Pressure To Get Liposuction?

Celebrities are often the ones who are surrounded by rumors of whether or not they have undergone liposuction

. Not only this but celebrities are known for using the latest and greatest in all things revolving around maintaining their physical appearances. Many in the public sector criticize stars for making young people obsessed with their appearance; however, the question that lies in this is whether or not the stars themselves are pressured to put such attention on their outward looks. Does being in the public eye add pressure to be the world's standard of beautiful?

Stars use loads of make-up and often take advantage of all of the latest trends in cosmetic procedures including liposuction. Following their example, many young people all over the country and the world also want to undergo these same surgeries and use the same cosmetic techniques and get the same haircuts. Is it really the celebrities choosing to set this example though? Celebrities are all known for looking fabulous all the time. The tabloids look for opportunities to exploit the moments when stars in Hollywood are caught off guard and end up looking less than spectacular. Everyone notices and everyone laughs unlike when some of us are caught off guard in everyday life and no one really notices or cares.

Nobody minds if their next-door-neighbor puts on weight or goes a day without makeup caked on their face. A large portion of the public, however, will make comments and establish blogs and magazines around the times when a starlet's weight drops and picks up or when someone goes without gel in their hair. Since the various actors and actresses whose every wrinkle is scrutinized by everyone and their neighbor, perhaps that is why they have chosen to spend plenty of money on cosmetics and cosmetic surgeries. Liposuction will help the rumor mill stop turning out stories about the weight gained after a recent break up or it can simply help maintain a beautifully sculpted body throughout the years of an actor/actress's career.

All in all, the public seems caught in a vicious cycle. Yes, it is a poor example to encourage young people to become obsessed with their looks and request liposuction as a means to shape their bodies into one form of beautiful. However, the stars who are being imitated cannot be entirely blamed for this obsession as their livelihoods often depend on how fabulous they look. This includes participating in all the forms of liposuction and cosmetic surgeries and other things to stay that way.
