Does Your Bathing Suit Fit Yet?
At the moment I don't have my dream body, but I'm sure that many others like me have not been successful in achieving their goals either
. I have been successful in losing weight and continue to keep a tab on what I am eating and how it enables me to burn calories. The reality is that, it didn't take just a few days, weeks or months to gain this excessive weight. If I am wearing the weight gained in two years on my body, how can I expect it to melt sooner? It's going to take me longer than 2-3 weeks to get rid of this fat. To get your body in a proper frame of burning fat best, you need to do your diet and exercise program for at least 3 months. After 3 months, your body will stop resisting you and start co-operating with you. It will learn that we are not experiencing a famine where you need to store up fat for no food days.
My bathing suit fits, but I some how do not like how I look in it. My belly fat is still quite perceptible, although it is quite lesser than it was earlier. I have have been successful in losing weight, 10 pounds of fat are gone. I now feel much better, I need to start working out more but the summer activities of mowing grass, gardening, mulching and others keep spoiling my routine. My flabby arms really look horrible. Therefore I'm planning to re-start my regular weight lifting routine.
I continue to read and learn about fat burning and weight loss so I can pass the information on to you that I am testing out myself. I read some very interesting information today. In order to burn fat, we need to eat foods that raise our metabolism. After hitting 40, our metabolism decreases every year. Since I want to flatten my belly, I am going to add some of these items to my list of foods.
To raise my metabolic rate, I should drink green tea. Its not a bad idea at all. Although I prefer coffee. Maybe I will include some hot green tea to my routine a few times a day. But wait, it is also advised to drink 17 ounces of ice water per day. By drinking cold water, your body has to turn into a furnace to warm the water up. So instead of drinking hot green tea, maybe I should go in for iced tea. Then there are some foods you can eat that increase your body heat also. Eating lentils and hot peppers are recommended. I don't know if I can add them. Hot peppers have never been something I could eat. Then we come to lentils. I thought they belonged to the family of beans, which many times are listed with lentils when we are discussing about diet, but when I looked them up, I did not find them in the category of beans. They are different, and they did give some ideas on how to eat them. I may try some out. The green tea is my first thing I plan on trying.
Other ways to increase your rate of metabolism so that you can burn fat easier is to be active. Taking your walks, jogging if you are able to, gardening, mowing grass is also a good workout if you push the lawnmower and not ride it. Then weight lifting is great for burning fat. The more muscles you have, the higher your metabolic rate and that implies you are burning fat.
One last idea is to not eat 3 large meals per day. Eat a number of small meals. Never let yourself go hungry. Hunger results in going in for cookies, chips and other items within easy reach in your home or out of a vending machine. That's where keeping healthy snacks in your pocket such as an apple should deter you from going to vending machines and buying a candy bar.
I am not certain how long it is going to take to get the look that I will feel good about. Maybe I have passed the age of having that look but I'm still quite positive. I will continue to strive to burn fat and lose weight. Even when I reach the weight I want to be at, I may not have the shape I want. I will continue to lift weights and watch what I eat, but never diet to lose those extra pounds. I have learned to eat healthier while dieting, that is what my aim will be once I am in a proper weight range. I will then strive to burn fat still, I don't want it back. I will also eat right to live a long healthier life.
