Does Your Internet Marketing Business Have Working Capital?
This is a question that very rarely gets asked because it is a subject that many
internet marketers think about but never discuss so I am discussing it right now!
An internet marketing business is like any business, yes you don't have to put a lot of money down to get it started but you still need to have some working capital. This to me is what stops you from quitting your 9-5 job. You need to be able to put the money straight back into your business to make it successful and this is what can take the time away from you.
I personally use ClickBank for processing my orders because I trust them totally above any other online processor. The downside to them though is the wait from starting to use them, up until getting regular payments in your bank account via direct deposit.
First of all you will need to have five payments by credit or debit card before they will release your first cheque. This may sound very easy when written down on paper but you will be amazed by how many of your customers will pay by PayPal which doesn't count.
Next you will have to wait for a cheque to arrive and cash two cheques prior to taking payment by direct deposit. I have lots of different ClickBank accounts as I need one for each affiliate product I am seeking affiliates for. However I am always waiting for a cheque to arrive so that I can have the direct deposit option. It is a case of waiting and then relying on the other accounts you have.
If this is your very first product you could be waiting six weeks before you get paid for your first sale and this is why working capital is so important to your business.
No matter who you use or what your outgoings is you need to plan for this and have cash available to cover your average costs including your hosting, autoresponder, outsourcers and so on.
