Does your dog need a dog supplement?
To lead a healthy and active life your dog definitely needs some good food that has
been prescribed and recommended by some good reputed dog food producing companies. But apart from that your dog may require supplements for the proper functioning of its body parts. This will ensure that he is able to lead a normal and healthy life for a very long period of time, but then how do you decide whether your dog requires a supplement or not? How do you decide on the elements that are mostly demanded by its body at any period of time?
At times it has been observed that your dog may require a constant source of supplementation due to lack of good nutritional quality in the food provided by you. These low qualities of the regular diet will naturally demand supplementation. So take the advice of a vet in this regard to ensure that your dear pet is not deprived of any kind of good food. But as a supplement you can definitely think of providing hard boiled egg to it once in a week. They are really good source vitamin A and vitamin D. These are responsible for maintaining a proper bone structure and a very good eye sight.
If you think you want to cook the food of your dog or have it supplied on its plate afresh then you can think of supplementing the diet with some nuts, whole grains and inexperienced vegetables. These can be real good source sof vitamin B. Vitamin B happens to be highly responsible for shaping up its muscles. The muscles of a dog are extremely important since they are responsible for its movements. Even the skin of your dog will exhibit a luster if you find that the dog is getting the supply of vitamin B.
Vegetable oil, bran and wheat germs are some of the important food that can be the rich source of vitamin E. vitamin E is required by the body so that the immunity system of the dog's body grows really strong to put a brave fight against any kind of diseases.
In order to enhance the blood clotting abilities in the body of your dog you need to incorporate such food that are rich sources of Vitamin K. Liver, seeds and green leafy vegetables can be the right source of vitamin K that would be required by your puppy.
Glucosamine can also prove to be a good supplement as they pump in water to the joints present in the body of your dog thus ensuring lubrication and prevent pain as a result of arthritis or rheumatism.
But it is always a good idea to take the opinion of experts before you throw in the supplements in your dog's diet. It has been observed that after consuming grapes, many dogs died out of renal failure so naturally you should avoid such accidents. Do not take a decision all by your self. Consult the vet or a person who deals with the production of supplements.
