Don't Forget: 10 Quick Hints To Help You Remember Something Important
1. New Year Calendar Preparation: At the end of each calendar year, preparation for the New Year should begin. If you use a standard paper calendar, purchase a family calendar large enough to accommodate your family's schedule and any reminders. Copy any important information you will need to remember from your old calendar such as anniversaries, birthdays, etc. Also, add in any necessary daily, weekly and monthly reminders.
2. For items you don't want to leave without: Place the item itself or a note reminding you of the item with something you can't possibly leave without, such as your car keys or wallet.
3. Place the item near the door that you will be going out of so you will be sure to see it before your leave.
4. Set a timer. This can help with many things such as reminding you when to take your medicine or when to take a cake out of the oven.
5. In the past people would tie a string around their finger to help them remember something; these days you can be a bit more creative by designating a certain piece of jewelry as a "reminder" piece and wear it on days you need to remember something specific.
6. Have a reminder list that can be easily changed (such as an erasable board) in a place that you walk by every day and make it part of your routine to check it at the same time every day.
