Don't Allow Yourself To Be Fooled By Relationship Best Seller Books
When you desperately want to save your current relationship or to get back with your ex
, you are willing to pick up almost any "how to" book that promises to guide you on how to solve your relationship problems. But before you do just that, I would like to let you know that a lot of relationship books out there tend to over promise just to entice you to make that purchase. But after reading the book, you realize that you are not any better equipped than you were before reading that book.
So, to keep you from wasting cash on those over hyped books, let me share with you some reminders before purchasing another relationship book.
Solving relationship problems does not require a PhD.
I will be honest with you - having Masters and even Doctorate degrees are not guarantees that the author will be able to solve your relationship issues. These people have spent so much time studying how people think and feel, but that doesn't mean that they have enough experience practicing what they preach.
The best relationship books are those that are written by authors who understand your experience because they have been there themselves. And they should have helped a lot of other friends solve their relationship issues. These authors are not necessarily doctors who get paid for every counseling session that they have with their patients. The best relationship authors are those who spent time putting back relationships for the people they care for.
Look for uncommon information.
Almost every famous relationship book says the same thing - just allow some time for you and your partner to grow and you will be able to work things out. That is crap. What you need right now is a relationship book that tells you how to get your ex back, how to heal your relationship, and how to liven up your relationship.
It is very rare that you will find a book that tells you exactly what women want and how you can give it to her, how to heal your pain, or how to solve your problems after an affair.
Check out the author's and the book's testimonials.
Don't let those testimonials fool you. The author could have just asked a friend, his sister, his mother or even his grandmother to write those. Look at how the testimonials are written. If they seem to follow the same pattern, maybe that's what you can expect. The book will just have the same old boring useless information from the so-called relationship gurus.
When you look for testimonials, look for diversity. You also observe the type of people and the background of the people who leave the testimonials. Some testimonials also give you a clue on what the book has to offer that is not yet mentioned in the book's advertisements.
While there are relationship books that can give you valuable advice on how to solve your relationship problems, you have to be careful so that you can pick the right ones from the piles of generic relationship advice.
