You cut down on the amount of CO2 you release again due to using less heating and keep your home nice and warm throughout Christmas.
Added to this, if you live in a busy area then the double glazing is great as it acts a sound barrier so if you have trouble sleeping at night because of the cars driving by or other reasons you can rest easily at night. Improving your home is more cost effective then moving but preparing your home if you want to move in the near future is still a good idea.
