One first needs to diagnose if there is a buzzing sound or no sound at all. This will allow you to determine if there is low voltage or electrical issue or whether the button is actually dead. To correct this issue, the person will need to either replace the unit in the case of a dead unit or replace the wiring. Common Issue #2: Doorbell Sound Does Not Stop
This is the reverse problem in that the doorbell continues to ring when pressed and won't stop. This problem demands immediate attention. The issue here can be that the button does not work properly that when depressed it does not retract and stop sending a signal. One of the easiest ways to address this issue is to replace the doorbell button. If this does not resolve the issue, one should check the wiring to see if some connection inadvertently persists.
