Down By The Boardwalk

Head down by the boardwalk of Alcudia Bay and gaze down into the shallow waters where

some critters from the Mediterranean Sea feel comfortable enough to do some investigating. Apart from the troublesome jelly fish that patrol the waters every now and again, it becomes fascinating watching marine life in action. Of course glass bottom boat trips are the best way to see a wider variety of creatures in their natural habitat, but for a low cost you could just take it easy with the family and hang around the shallows.

Alcudia is well known as Majorca's top easy going destination where holidaymakers can come and relax over their summer breaks. Based along the north coast of the Balearic Island Alcudia is far from the giddy teens looking to down as many drinks in one sitting as humanly possible during a fortnight, but you can expect to be well away from those trying to break into the Guinness Book of Records. A lot of people head away over summer claiming to be looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday abroad, even when their tickets says Magaluf. Alcudia is one such place where you can actually take it easy and enjoy the laid back culture and general way of life that is synonymous with friendly island folk.

While the countryside of various areas around the UK tends to get rave reviews from keen campers, but few people tend to take the time to enjoy the exotic landscape and scenery that is apparent all around in various destinations in Spain other than Alcudia. Most coastal regions throughout Spain have plenty of beauty to be enjoyed and it almost seems a waist not to experience. Sure many will spend more than their fair share of time at the beach but back on land there is so much more to explore.

There are few aims of goals attached to summer holidays just the chance to relax without a bitter wind attacking you from all angles and no crisp packets slapping you in the face. The still coast and hot weather in Alcudia is the perfect combination of what you always wanted whilst scouring the various holiday magazines and listening to the various recommendations before finally making your decision. Life in Majorca is pretty sweet, however, if you are looking for grey skies, bitter winds and frequent downpours stay at home this summer and you won't be disappointed!
