What are you catch all these guys for? They are the lifeblood of the game. You want to snatch these men and women and then have to assign them to divisions of your army - combat, research and development, Intel, and so on - based on the many statistics that each character has. Guys assigned to your combat unit can find Snakes place in missions or be consigned to the Outer Ops, and R & D people develop new weapons, items and upgrades. Keep recruiting, constantly better people in these departments and you will always cooler crap.
It's like crack. I can not tell you how many of my classes, I've spent with this game just sort troops by their ability to cook, so I can make sure I have the best show, so my crew is happy. I'll get prisoners of war and pray that they are "S-rank" troops I've been looking for to really pull my R & D department together and get me the final upgrades I need.
Fred Walker emphasizes shorter gameplay sessions, so each mission has its own task.You will choose the one you want to go out, get a cutscene if it requires it, go out on your mission and get a statistical screen grading you on the number of reports before getting booted back to the menu. This is a nice change of pace for a number of reasons - primarily because it gives you control over your loadout for each scenario you enter.Oddly, you can not save mid-mission, and it can be a drag, since some games go on for a while.

As you unlock and find different suits for Snake, you will want to wear them in special situations. Look, it fits better / worse in certain areas when it comes to camouflage (jungle vs. city), they allow you to wear a different number of items and weapons, and some have unique abilities (in stealth suit, you can move as quickly as you want and be completely silent). Because the missions are distinct, you can use your weapon with limited stealth suit to get through an entire level, the level at end as you get your first glimpse of a boss, and then start the "new" mission where you fight the boss and getyour battle suit armed with his extra weapon and item slots. It's amazing, and the key to dominating missions.
Emissions are being broken up is great for the PSP, because Peace Walker is phenomenal at dangling carrots in front of your face. When these missions end, you return to Mother Base, where you inundated with information - what your research and development team has created in the way of weapons and objects, how the troops you sent on missions done that has come to join your army and so on.
Adding to all this focus on co-op. Each mission in Peace Walker - whether it is a story mission or one of the 100-plus extra Ops - is available to you and a buddy to conquer.Co-op is available only through ad-hoc, but it's still a good option. If it's a boss fight (one tank, a helicopter or a Metal Gear), four players can put out the best beast. Whatever you do as a team, you benefit from being played. To Fulton out seven players in total, you get each of these seven players for your team. If one of you climbs inside an AI kernel and frees up a lot of memory boards for use in your personal Metal Gear, you get all these discs.
Co-op is great. I am a single-player fan and did not know if I would dig playing with others, but marching around levels capture the villains and decimate bosses are fun with friends.
However, co-op leads to one of my main complaints with Peace Walker - and I only have two. This co-op focus means that some of the games is a pain in the ass (if not completely undoable) by yourself. I've seen a host of other game critics - the people I know can play - fight and scream at some of the boss battles in this game. For me, I thought it was crazy until I got to the second match with the final boss - Peace Walker himself. On my third attempt, I played for 45 minutes before running out of ammunition and have called off the mission.
The gameplay you know is here and awesome.
Ultimately, I could not beat Peace Walker without help from another player who was far past that point. It should not be an aspect of a game like this. It's fine to make the extra Ops super-hard - and believe me, the repeated battles with tanks and Cocoon is - but a solo player must be able to get through the story of himself. Granted, you may be able to replay missions and upgrade your weapons, so that some managers would not give you many problems, but I'm no rookie, and I do not think that I should have been dealing with the problems I had to dealing with.
The second problem with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker? It's almost too deep for his own good. Do not get me wrong, depth is one of the game's greatest assets - I will not stop playing until my army has conquered all the External Ops - but there is not much in the way of guidance. There really, really general tutorials in the game, but they do not give you a proper idea of how to make trades with other players how to make your own Metal Gear songs, or how to get the most out of the mechs you've acquired. Learning these principles in the game, you will either have to go through some trial and error or have a "Big Boss" on page guides you through the game.
Of course Metal Gear Solid: Is Peace Walker did not stop there. At this UMD (or digital download for you cool kids) is a pimped out competitive multiplayer mode where you can go head to head with five other friends in the game deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture and base defense. The modes are fun, but they did not do much for me - it's just Metal Gear Online, which is no small achievement for a portable game. If you can get six Peace Walker fanatics together at once, have at it, but the game is more about co-op in my eyes.
