Each brand of laser printer has a custom toner that works better with that brand and sometimes a toner for individual versions. Toners have different forms and compositions because they are made by various manufacturers. Consider the flow rate, magnetic quality, melting point, and thermal quality of a toner before buying. The cartridge for the laser printer toner is from 9 to 12-inches in length.

The price of laser toner cartridges is higher than those for ink jet printers, but it prints many more documents than the ink jet cartridge. Refills for laser toner cartridges are also available. There are refill kits for the various brands and also cheaper compatible toner cartridges. The refill kits are supplied with all of the parts to replenish the toner - filling the empty cartridge. These kits provide the complete instructions for refilling the toner cartridge. It is easy to do and is an economical alternate to purchasing a new brand name cartridge.
