Dry Skin Care: Finding The Right Acne Treatment

Since dry skin can be sensitive to a soapy cleanser

, try using oil instead. Non-comedogenic oils like castor oil and olive oil are a good way to clean your face without clogging your pores. Another benefit is that these oils won't dry out your skin during the cleansing process.

To use oil, apply and massage 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil on your face. To remove, simply place a hot, moist towel on your face for a few minutes before removing the oil.

When looking for more effective all natural treatments, try using tea tree oil instead of benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide is an excellent treatment for acne, however, it can be too harsh for dry skin. Any products used to treat your face should be gentle enough to keep from irritating the skin.

This natural acne remedy is quite simple to use. Simply soak a cotton ball with water and add three to four drops of tea tree oil. Apply this diluted mix to the affected area you'd like to treat. If your skin doesn't become easily irritated, then you can also use tea tree oil in its undiluted form.

Finally, apply your moisturizer. You can balance out the natural oils in your skin by applying the right amount of moisturizing cream to your skin. As a matter of fact, this can actually help reduce the frequency of acne breakouts. You can freely reapply moisturizer as needed.

If you would rather use traditional products instead of natural acne solutions make sure to do a patch test before applying a new product all over your face. You can begin by using the product once a day or every other day. Once you can be sure that your skin is okay with the product, you can increase the frequency of use.

Remember that inadequate acne treatment can lead to acne scars. So, choose your skin care routine and acne products with care.
