ED and Depression

Often men with ED are found to suffer from depression which may most likely increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. ED is a condition suffered by a majority of men due to one or the other reason. It is generally described as the inability to develop or maintain a proper erection for a satisfying sexual performance. This inability can greatly ruin the self confidence of a man and can lead to depression. Though this problem occurs commonly in almost all men but none of them are ready to discuss about it with anyone. They are rather embarrassed discussing about it with their partners and thus, bury it deep down within themselves.

Studies have shown that those men suffering from depression due to ED are at a higher risk of suffering from cardiovascular problems. This is because the impact of this dysfunction not only affects the mind but the body as well. Both ED and depression can be the causes of one another. That is to say, ED causes depression and vice versa. But which problem lead to causing which one is not important, what's important is the health risk that these conditions can lead to. So instead of looking at the initial conditions, it is important to consider the secondary consequences that will arise.

ED and depression have a direct link to one another. The importance here lies in not only considering the performance of men in the bedroom but also his psychological health and cardiovascular health as well. According to the study establishing a positive relationship between depression and progressive ED, is both these conditions are treated then the risk of cardiovascular in men can be greatly decreased. At present, an estimated 30 million men in the US suffer from ED.
