Ear, Nose And Throat
Ear, Nose and throat of the human body are connected with each other and work together as the three best friends and thus are affected by one another
. The connection between these three different but important parts of our body makes it difficult for us to figure out which organ is affected. However most of the problems related to ear, nose and throat are usually ignored assuming it as cold or flu. Though any of these problems may not be alarming or fatal, these problems do affect us severely and some of the problems caused may be irreversible.
All problems related to Ear, Nose and Throat are usually referred to an ENT specialist who diagnoses and treats these problems. In reality Otolaryngology which is also referred to as ENT is a branch of medicine and surgery which deals with the disorders and treatments of head and neck.
Otolaryngology is further classified into sub-specialties such as Head and neck, Facial plastics, Otology. Neurootlogy, Rhinology, Laryngology and Pediatrics. The onset of ENT problems can happen to anyone irrespective of their age and season or climatic conditions. These are responsible for the vocal resonance. Once infected by bacteria or virus, they show symptoms like difficulty in breathing, runny nose, sneezing and cough, headache, pain on or around the sinus cavities and toothaches.
Sleep Apnea: Sleep Apnea is the temporary stopping of breathing while asleep. This problem can occur in both children and adults and the common causes could be overweight, enlarged tonsils, airway shorter than usual.
