Earning Money From Internet - Part 7 Researching Keywords And Finding A Niche

Researching Keywords is very important and often misunderstood. It's more about learning which keywords are suited for which purposes rather than trying to unveil a hidden million dollar keyword that no one has thought of before. In other words all keywords are good, they just have a different use.

Also important is connection between keyword and a niche. You should conduct this research before you buy a domain name. Good order to do it is:

Choose a product.

Research product related keywords.

Choose a domain name.

Prepare an outline of your website basing on relevant keywords.

There are three factors you need to focus on when researching keywords competition, monthly searches, and how close your keyword of choice is related to the activity of buying a product you are selling. Don't waste your time looking for perfect keyword. It does not exist.

Keyword with 100.000 monthly searches, low competition and inevitably related to paying for the product would make you millions in a month. So probably someone has thought of it before or there isn't one. If you find 20 keywords with 5.000 searches a month you will be in a way, way better position and much closer to your own online business. Don't worry it will all take too long, once you have solid foundation your business will start growing faster and faster.

Misunderstanding keywords is one of the most common mistake people make. It requires combining tools that show you statistics with common sense. Let's say you happen to find a keyword with big traffic and low competition. It seems good and you might find good use for it. Then you realize the keyword is too loosely connected with the topic and it's not generating sales. You can use it to raise traffic and improve your listings in the search engines a bit. You should just accept that this keyword won't make sales and add another one that will. This way you will have higher traffic which will improve your listings and eventually will give you more sales and a quality keyword that will sell right away.

Don't give it too much thought just do your due diligence and check if it all makes sense. Use keywords that are as targeted as possible to get paid traffic. Otherwise you will be loosing money. In the end it's all about the difference between how much you pay for clicks and how much you make in commissions.

Never use high traffic keywords for getting paid traffic unless you are an expert.
