Easy Exercises To Lose Weight
So what are some good exercises to lose weight
? There are tons and tons of different types of exercises and exercise programs that you can do to start losing weight right now. But it all really depends on you, your goals, your characteristics, what you have done in the past, and if you have any injuries or not. Also the big thing that matters is what you like to do and what you dont like to do. A lot of us might not like to do something in the gym and therefore we stay away from it at all costs. But most often that thing that we dont like to do is really good for us and will greatly increase our fitness levels and help to transform our bodies. So first Im going to ask of you to start doing the things that you dont like to do in the gym. Okay so without further ado here are good exercises to lose weight.
Exercise #1: Burpees
Burpees by far are on the best fat loss exercises out there that anyone can do and at anytime. The reason for this is because you work all of your major muscle groups at once and its also very dynamic in nature. Youre jumping up and down into a pushup positions then hopping back up to do it all over again. I remember hearing one big time trainer on TV. who got asked the question if there was only one exercise that he or she was allowed to do and they wanted to get in great shape and lose belly fat, what would it be. The trainer replied with Burpees. Without a doubt Burpees would be his number 1 choice. Now there are many ways that you can do Burpees. The easiest and most simple way resembles a squat thrust where you drop down from a standing position into a pushup position and then push your knees into your chest and pop back up. Now if you wanted to do a regular burpee, you would do that same movement except you would add a jump at the top. So before you drop down into the pushup position, you would jump in the air as high as you can then immediately drop down and pop back up. Another way you can do it is with weights. Using dumbbells will provide extra resistance and make it a lot more challenging if the regular way is too easy for you now. Simply grab two dumbbells and from there youre going to do an overhead press straight into a squat thrust. I like the weights a lot more because it also provides a resistance training component to everything, which really taxes your body and increases the afterburn effect within your body. This ensures youre able to burn a tremendous amount of calories for hours after you completed your workout. This is because you created an oxygen debt inside of your body that has to be made up. Essentially, all of your bodys systems were thrown out of a loop and they need to be brought back down to baseline levels. Your body does this by increasing its metabolism and utilizing calories, specifically from fat to get the job done.
Exercise #2: Overhead Walking Lunges
Im sure youre really familiar with regular lunges. There are a number of ways you can do them. For example you can do your lunges walking, stationary, forward lunges and reverse lunges. You can do them with weights or without weights. It doesnt really matter. But not many people take it a notch up and do lunges with dumbbells that are pressed overhead the entire duration of the set. I guarantee youve never experienced an exercise like this before. Its quite taxing on your cardiovascular levels, but thats great because it means youll be burning a huge amount of calories in the process. Youre going to grab two light dumbbells and press them straight overhead. From there, you will start your walking lunges while keeping the dumbbells over your head for the duration of the set. The reason why this is such an awesome weight loss exercise is because youre targeting almost every muscle in your body and your core has to work extremely hard to hold your body in place since your center of gravity has shifted with the weighted dumbbells overhead.
Exercise #3: Mountain Climbers
Mountain climbers are an effective and easy to perform exercise that you can do anywhere at any time, just like Burpees. Its a really basic exercise but provides a whopping punch to your cardiovascular system. All youre going to do is get in a pushup position and from there drive each knee up towards your chest. You will alternate each leg and go as quick as possible making sure to stay light on your toes the entire time. If you want to spice things up a bit, you can add a pushup in between 10 mountain climbers. So you would do 10 reps of mountain climbers, then do a pushup and go right back into your mountain climbers. This is just another way to take an already effective exercise and just make it a little bit better.
Exercise #4: Kettle Bell Swings
Kettle bell swings or dumbbell swings are a great conditioning exercise that again targets almost every major muscle group in your body while working in a dynamic fashion with resistance movements. Its really simple to perform. All youre going to do is grab a kettle bell or a dumbbell and while keeping your chest up squat slightly down and then accelerated the weight up by pushing your hips forward and contracting your hamstrings. If you feel this exercise in your lower back too much, then youre not utilizing your abdominals and hips to accelerate the weight through.
All in all, these 4 options above are all good exercises to lose weight. Feel free to pick and choose or do all of them in one workout. All of them allow you to take advantage of that afterburn effect allowing your body to burn a tremendous amount of calories even after your workout has finished. The more calories burned in the long run equals the more total weight you will lose. Its that simple.
