Easy Steps To Removing The Windows Personal Security Virus

I've seen so many computer's infected with the Personal Security virus lately

. Unfortunately there are several viruses that look similar to this virus, and the variations keep getting past some antivirus programs. It's frightening to see some people fall victim when they give their credit card numbers online. Especially considering how prevalent identity theft is currently.

It isn't as difficult as you might think to remove the Personal Security virus and ones like it. Most of the time, the difficulty depends on how long the virus has been on your system. You can tell if you have this virus or one like it, usually by noticing an anti-virus program popping up all the time and asking for a credit card. You probably don't remember installing this anti-virus - and I can tell you that I'm sure you didn't!

Now, my way of removing this threat works most of the time and is very simple to follow. First go online and download Malwarebytes... next install it and make sure it is fully updated.

Now that you have Malwarebytes ready to go, all you have to do is download AVG free from free.avg.com. Then simply install and update the AVG software.

Now you can restart your computer, and when it starts booting back up again press the "F8" key over and over again. If a boot menu pops up just press "Esc" and then continue pressing "F8". Once a black and white menu appears, choose Safe Mode and then press enter.

Now, you need to log into your user account and run AVG and Malwarebytes. When these programs finish scanning (sometimes hours later) you can remove any infections they may have found. By now you should be clear of the virus and can restart the computer back into normal mode.

Now that you're back in normal mode, check to see if the virus is still present. If it is, you need to repeat the steps for each user account in safe mode.
