Easy Travel In Thailand During Your Dental Holiday

. Thailand is a great and safe country. However, if you are not knowledgeable, a very select group of people will try to take advantage and over charge you on certain things.

Tips on Arriving in Thailand:

When you arrive in Thailand by plane, you will receive a one month entry visa at no charge. For most people, this will be more than enough time for their dental work and relaxation.

(If you are arriving by land via car or train, you will be issued a 2 week entry visa.)

When you fly into the airport and don't already have a taxi set up, there are two types of taxi drivers. Those who will charge you a flat rate and those that will use the taxi meter. You will always want to use the taxi meter as it will be much cheaper. You can save yourself quite a bit of money with this tip.

Intercity travel - Tuk Tuk

When traveling within the city, my favorite method is traveling is by a tuk tuk. A tuk tuk is like a cross between a small open car and a motorbike. When you see one, you'll know what I mean.

The tuk tuk is fun to travel in and can get around traffic easier than cars. However, some drivers will not take you to your destination if you are not firm. They will convince you to go to a suit shop to try on a suit. The drivers get large commissions if you buy. The suit salesmen are high pressure, very good at their job, and will over charge you in these situations. Just imagine the classic used car salesman.

When your driver asks you to do him a favor by visiting his friend's shop, simply say no and save yourself the ordeal of dealing with high pressured salesmen. Even if the driver offers you a ride at no charge, save yourself the hassle and continue on with your plans.
